On the river and down the trail...
Folks have been asking us to put together a photo book for many years. It took ten to be exact, but it's finally here! "On the river and down the trail..." is a collection of 100 photos from our favorite places to adventure in the Allegheny National Forest region of the Pennsylvania Wilds.
Along with the National Wild & Scenic Allegheny River and many of its federally designated Wilderness Islands, we've included shots from our adventures on Conewango Creek, Kinzua Lake and Tionesta Creek. Land trails include Bent Run Trail, Chapman State Park, Hearts Content Recreation Area, Hector Falls, Hickory Creek Wilderness Area, Jakes Rocks Trail, Johnnycake Trail, Kinzua Dam, Morrison Trail, North Country National Scenic Trail, Rimrock Trail, Tanbark Trail, Toms Run Loop and Tracy Ridge.
From Pennsylvania Wilds photographer Piper VanOrd, "Some were taken on evening walks, others on multi-day backpacking and paddling trips. From flooded creeks and rivers to misty forest mornings, we think we've put together a collection that captures what makes our area so special."
