Local Chapter members Mike and Tina Toole will be on hand from 10 am to 2 pm to answer questions about that, the #Hike50 and #Hike100 challenges, trail maintenance and more!

Aurora SUP

We're excited to welcome Warren native Ian Toole, co-founder of Aurora SUP, to Paddle Happy on Saturday, February 17th!

Ian and his co-founder Dave Lentz are motivated to produce the most durable, portable and affordable inflatable paddle boards on the market. They set out to design, source, and build a durable all around board for rental businesses and consumer use, and are committed to their love of freshwater lakes, oceans, and whitewater.

Ian will have a demo SUP at Paddle Happy - we're excited to check it out!

Bent Run Brewing Co

A handful of locals have been hard at work brewing beer for almost six years. Last year, a few of them started getting serious about their brew, upgrading equipment and processes with the goal of opening a brewery in the Warren area.

Bent Run Brewing Co is planning to offer a Stout, Pilsner and New England IPA for folks to sample on Saturday, February 17th. We're excited to have 'em! From what we've heard, iff you're a conniseur, you don't want to miss it!

It's not an AO event without Bumble! For the kids - and kid at heart - come say hi to Bumble on February 17th! He'll be at the shop from 4:00 - 5:00 pm, greeting folks outside.

Durapeg Tent Stakes

Did you know there was a company in Warren that makes super durable, lightweight tent stakes from recycled plastic? Neither did we! These stakes are impressive - with demos splitting wood 2x4's! Come meet the folks behind Durapeg and check out their stake line!

The Goat Fort

We're pretty stoked to welcome Dana Harrington and "The Goat Fort" to Paddle Happy on Saturday, February 17th!

If you're unfamiliar, Dana has been active in the local climbing community for almost two decades, and has hosted indoor climbing sessions at The Goat Fort for the last ten years. We're excited he'll be on hand to answer questions about local climbing, and give a sneak-peek of his latest project - "Rimrock Bouldering" - a guide book to one of the Allegheny National Forests most famed bouldering spots. Thanks for coming out and sharing your passion with us!

Northern Allegheny Mountain Bike Association (NAMBA)

Thinking about getting into mountain biking? Looking for group rides? Have questions about the Trails at Jake's Rocks project? Want to learn about trail maintenance opportunities? NAMBA members will be at the shop Saturday the 17th from 3 pm to 5 pm to help answer your questions!

Straub Adventure Series Craft Brew

“This new series celebrates our 145-year-old legacy as a craft brewer and the ‘Fiercely Independent’ spirit of the PA Wilds region that Straub Brewery has called home since the 1870s,” William Brock, president and CEO, said. “These beers embody the best of what life has to offer; and pay tribute to the people and the incredible places where we work, live and play.”

The Peter Straub Signature Brews series honors the brewery’s founded, Peter Straub, who left Germany at 19 and traveled here in search of the American dream — “with only a few coins sewn into his jacket and a recipe for beer,” according to the company.

“Seven generations and 145 years later, Peter’s courageous and adventurous pursuit of living life to the fullest endures in every Honestly Fresh and Fiercely Independent (Straub trade names) craft beer produced by his historic American Legacy Brewery.”

The names of the 12 craft beers in the Straub series are inspired by the vast outdoor activities and destinations in the 12½ counties of the brewery’s home region, known as the PA Wilds. This area boasts 2.1 million acres of public land and is one the largest blocks of green between New York City and Chicago, with more than 50 million people who live within a six-hour drive of this region.
