Fishing the Allegheny Twitter
Ever wonder what the river is doing while you're at work? Follow us on Twitter to get daily river conditions, Kinzua Dam outflow levels, temperature, and for all you fishermen out there, we even tweet those river hatches as they're happening, so you'll know what'll be biting. No more hassle of trying to get someone on the phone to see what's been pulling in the smallies prior to your trip, just follow the fish on twitter!

Fluctuations in water flows and resulting changes in water temperature have a dramatic effect on insect hatches and feeding patterns. As a result, a thermometer can mean the difference between catching fish or catching nothing at all. We take the river temperature 5 miles north of Tidioute, roughly 3 feet from shore in the riffles with a Fishpond swift current thermometer.
